Our journey

Our story begins with numerous journeys to the beautiful Portugal, where the charm of azulejos captured our hearts. The artistic designs and rich history of these handmade tiles inspired us to bring this unique product into our own home.

However, upon returning to the Netherlands, we discovered that obtaining authentic azulejos here posed a challenge. Driven by our passion and the idea of sharing the beauty of these tiles with others, we decided to launch our own website. Tegão was born from the vision to make this unique piece of Portugal accessible in the Netherlands.

Our collection includes a carefully selected set of azulejos that we find beautiful ourselves. Perhaps you'll find them beautiful too – great! In addition, we also want to encourage creativity. Whether you have an entirely original design in mind or want to modify an existing model, we are happy to assist you.
